What the app does on your network
To show what you choose, the app connects only to the sources you add or the built-in demos:
- Livestream: it loads the live stream link you enter.
- NDI®: it discovers and receives NDI video on your local network. Learn about NDI at ndi.video.
- Signage: it connects to the signage server you choose on your network. That server identifies this Apple TV by the device name you enter.
- Adding photos or videos from your phone: while the Add photos screen is open, the Apple TV runs a small web page on your local network, protected by a one-time code in its address. Photos and videos you choose are sent straight from your phone to the Apple TV. Nothing goes through the internet or Druben Group, and the page stops when you close that screen.
Where your settings are kept
Your sources, slides, photos, videos and overlay settings are saved on the Apple TV. They are never sent to Druben Group.
If Share sources with Apple TVs on this Apple ID is on and the Apple TV is signed in to iCloud, your sources, slides, photos and videos are also stored in your own private iCloud, so other Apple TVs on the same Apple ID can show them. That data is protected by your Apple ID and Apple's iCloud terms; Druben Group cannot see it. Turn the switch off on the app's home screen to keep everything on that Apple TV only. When you delete a slideshow, photo or video on any of your Apple TVs, it is deleted from iCloud too.
